About Tetris Energy

Tetris Energy is a developer of renewable energy projects, having successfully developed 10 projects over the last four years. The team is small, but rapidly growing to meet its ambitious strategy to develop 3GW of wind farms over the
next 5 years. The culture is relaxed, informal and agile.

 

Position overview

The Development Manager will be responsible for accelerating the expanding number of onshore wind projects in Tetris Energy’s portfolio through to FID. This role is part of a growing development team, in which the successful candidate will play a key role in driving a range of project and investment activities. Reporting directly into the Director of Development.

Responsibilities and Duties

 

The role will include:

Drive wind projects from early-stage development to FID including planning and environmental, resource assessment, grid connection, and design and procurement activities, in conjunction with other members of the broader Tetris Energy organisation;

  • Assessment of utility-scale renewable generation opportunities, with a particular focus on wind, including conducting due diligence on potential targets and business case preparation;

  • Key interface with partners and other external stakeholders throughout the project development phase;

  • Manage and foster landholder relationships and local community engagement;

  • Contract with and manage external consultants as required for planning, grid connection studies and other key development disciplines to guide projects to FID; and

  • Contributing to turbine selection with OEMs and the Tetris commercial team.

  • Proactively dealing with and solving issues.

Qualifications and skills

  • Relevant academic qualification (e.g. commerce, engineering, environmental, planning, etc.);

  • Experience in renewable energy development or a related field such as investment, wind engineering, statutory or environmental planning.

  • Stakeholder management (eg, landowners, consultants, investors)

  • Strong project management skills, including experience developing and implementing project management processes, tools, and best practices

  • Understanding and experience working in the energy markets in Australia;

  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with financial analysis and project valuation; and

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team, including experience working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
